We are a family business that started this company about 30 years ago and are still running the show to this day! We have a great team of creative, audio and visual professionals, each with different skill sets and experience of this industry.
As the Owner/Founder of San Diego Audio Video, I got my start in this field, where else? San Diego State University, with a BS degree in Film and Television. First jobs included a stint in the Engineering Department at KPBS-FM, and two years as a roadie for Multi Image Productions in San Diego, staging computer-controlled multi media shows all over the country.
Radio being a strong interest for me, I then picked up eight years experience with a national radio syndicator, Peters Productions, as Operations Manager, while concurrently gaining six years part-time experience at KSDO as a Director in their Gannett-owned, News/Talk organization. Over the years, my garage became stuffed with duplication equipment of every sort and upon being anointed an Audio “Tape Dealer” for the 3M Company, tape sales and duplication services in my garage began to take off and once these services were doing better than the 8 – 5 positions I’d previously held, the original company name was spawned “San Diego’s Audio Duplicator.”
Over the twenty years that followed, the company name changed to first, San Diego Audio, then San Diego Audio Video and we expanded to include a wide range of audio-video services. Today, San Diego Audio Video is a full service media solutions provider for musicians, filmmakers, businesses, and families. For the last 20 years we’ve been operating out of a 12,000 square foot building in a location easily accessible to all San Dieagans. (Even easier for online shoppers to get to us.)
San Diego Audio Video is enjoying its fourth decade of service to the communities of San Diego. We look forward to working with our customers to provide them with the best quality of products and reliable services. Our family-owned and operated business thanks all our clients for catapulting our growth into the truly remarkable business we are today. Don’t look now, but my son has been in the business with us for the last ten years, so San Diego Audio Video is not expecting to go anywhere soon.
