AUDIO TRANSFERS TO CD
Bring in those old audio tapes and reels!
We’ll digitize them and transfer them to CD or whatever file format you prefer. With our professional audio decks, we can handle just about any audio projects that come our way. We can also offer to clean up, enhance, edit, and duplicate your new material.
CASSETTE TAPE TRANSFER
These old audio cassettes were a staple of the 80s and 90s. We can help archive those old tapes to digital files. We can transfer it direct to CD as well.
MICRO CASSETTE TAPES
Most often, these tapes are usually 30-60 minutes long. They can fit on a CD just fine. If it was used in a personal recording device, we often can help raise the levels and enhance the sound of these tapes.
REEL TO REEL AUDIO
¼” audio was where SDAV cut our teeth actually. Broadcast radio and communications. So we will always have a home for your Reel-to-Reel audio. We can check the speeds, and transfer these right into our system.
VINYL RECORDS
33, 45, and 78 RPM records. We love to see the old records. We can also enhance these and clean up any hums, pops, or unwanted sounds if you’d like.
TRANSFER TO CD
With any of these audio formats, we can go direct to CD. A standard formatted audio CD can hold 80 minutes of audio.
TRANSFER TO MP3
MP3 are becoming more and more common these days, especially with all of the portable player, phones, and stereo systems that play these. It’s nice and convenient because it’s a digital file and much smaller so it’s easy to transport around. MP3s are compressed files. If you bring in your hard drive or memory device, we can transfer your audio content to MP3s, and load it onto a data CD or DVD, or right onto your device.
TRANSFER TO WAV OR AIFF
The WAV format is less compressed and technically speaking, a higher quality file than a MP3. So if you have a professional project, perhaps a WAV or AIFF file is more suitable for what you are looking for. It is going to be a larger file than the MP3s as well.
DIGITAL TRACKING
With older analog audio tapes, records, and reels, your audio would play like one long track. You hit play on your tape deck, or you drop your needle on the vinyl, and you let it roll through all your tracks or your whole tape. You didn’t have the luxury to skip along or fast forward to the beginning of a certain track. We can edit in the digital track marks of your new transfer, so you can easily skip along and start in different sections of your audio.
EXTRA COPIES
Don’t forget to ask for an extra copy. It’s always nice to have a backup or second copy for another family member, or just to store away for safe keeping and storage.
QUICK TURN AROUND TIME
Normal audio transfers can be turned around in 2-3 business days if you are not in a rush. We’ll let you know at the time that you drop it off and give you an idea of how quickly we can do your job.
QUALITY CONTROL
We handle all audio transfers right in house, just like our video projects. So no need to worry, we test and check everything ahead of time. If you have blank tapes, we won’t charge you and we’ll return them to you. We can give you our suggestions and professional opinion about enhancement too. Perhaps your tapes do or do not need additional editing. We’ll let you know what we think.
